Dr. Hank Lawson has just scheduled his last home call in the Hamptons. After seven entertaining seasons, it was announced that Royal Pains, the hit USA Network show, has been renewed for an eighth and final season.
The medical drama, which stars Mark Feuerstein, Paulo Costanzo, Reshma Shetty, Brooke D’Orsay, Ben Shenkman and Campbell Scott, filmed several scenes out and about on the East End throughout its eight year run. Its last season, which will feature a musical episode and visit to Hong Kong, will debut on May 18 and include guest stars Cloris Leachman, Christine Eversole, Annie Potts, Teri Polo, Sebastian Roche, Dan Lauria, Constance Wu, Hal Linden, Ana Ortiz and Maria Dizzia.
“It’s with great sadness, but even greater thankfulness, that we prepare for our final summer sunsets as Royal Pains comes to an end,” said creator Andrew Lenchewski and executive producer Michael Rauch in a joint statement. “We couldn’t have imagined a more talented and dedicated writers’ room, cast, or crew, and we couldn’t have asked for better partners than USA Network and Universal Cable Productions.”
Following his run as a Hamptons concierge doctor, Mark Feuerstein has joined FOX’s Prison Break series.
